Senior Software Engineer (AI, AWS & Python)

About the role

You will shape how AI is built, deployed, and scaled across Diligent’s platform, working at the intersection of applied science, product, and engineering. The role combines strong software engineering fundamentals with practical AI delivery to create secure, production‑ready services.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, deploy, monitor and troubleshoot ML and LLM‑based services that power shared AI capabilities.
• Build secure, high‑performance microservices on AWS, owning the full lifecycle from implementation to production monitoring.
• Collaborate with applied scientists, product teams and engineers to productize AI features.
• Evaluate and pilot new AI tools to improve performance, cost efficiency and developer productivity.
• Create reusable AI libraries, frameworks and internal tooling for multiple teams.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience delivering secure, scalable applications in agile environments.
• Strong ability to write readable, maintainable, well‑tested code and apply solid software design principles.
• Hands‑on experience with Python and Node.js/TypeScript on AWS, including serverless or microservice patterns.
• Understanding of the full AI solution lifecycle from experimentation to production monitoring.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills to explain complex technical and AI topics.
