Software Engineer II – Frontend (Protection)

About the role

Join Primer's Protection team to help merchants handle disputes and prevent fraud. You will build core frontend components of a risk‑management suite that scales with global payments.

Key responsibilities

• Build the dispute dashboard from scratch, including deadline visibility, evidence status, and response tracking.
• Ship features end‑to‑end, collaborating with senior engineers on scoping and architecture.
• Turn fraud vendor comparisons into actionable merchant views.
• Own parts of the native rules‑engine UI, presenting velocity rules, blocklists, and fingerprinting signals.
• Deploy work to production, monitor impact, and iterate with support from experienced engineers.

Required profile

• Experience shipping production‑ready frontend features with growing autonomy.
• Solid grasp of API design fundamentals and performance considerations.
• Comfortable writing tests, handling edge cases and error handling.
• Genuine attention to detail in shipped code.
