AI Transformation Manager Operations

About the role

HARMAN is looking for an AI Transformation Manager Operations to drive value-stream-based AI transformation across Automotive Operations. The role turns the Operations AI strategy into executable initiatives that redesign end-to-end processes, strengthen data foundations and embed AI into operational decision-making. It focuses on priority value streams such as E2E Costing, Risk Management and Supply Chain Visibility and Resilience. The position reports to the AI Strategy Lead Operations within the Operations Excellence Digitalization organization.

Key responsibilities

• Lead selected AI transformation value streams from opportunity framing through process redesign, data scoping, solution concept, implementation support and adoption, defining measurable targets such as cost impact, efficiency gains, lead-time reduction and risk reduction.
• Redesign end-to-end operational processes with AI embedded by design, translating business challenges into AI-enabled process concepts, user stories and capability requirements, and partnering with process owners on roles, KPIs and governance.
• Define data requirements for AI use cases (source systems, data objects, quality needs, semantics, governance) and partner with BI & Dataworks, IT and architecture teams to deliver AI-ready datasets and scalable solution concepts.
• Drive adoption and scaling by coordinating cross-functional delivery teams, building stakeholder buy-in, developing enablement materials and tracking value realization after deployment.

Required profile

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in AI, data analytics or digital transformation, preferably in automotive or manufacturing.
• Proven track record of leading AI strategy and implementation in complex operational environments.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% domestically and internationally.

Required skills

• Strong understanding of AI technologies (ML, NLP, CV), data architecture and cloud platforms.
• Project management, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with agile methodologies and product management is a plus.
• A baseline familiarity with using AI to support efficiency, problem-solving and quality.
