Component Engineer & Technical Specialist – Relays & Fuses

About the role

Bosch is looking for a Component Engineer for Relays & Fuses in Budapest, within the Electrified Motion (EM) organization. You will own the relay and fuse component portfolio, act as the key technical expert, shape component strategies, drive technology roadmaps and support hardware development projects across the full product lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Act as technical owner and subject matter expert for relay and fuse components within EM
• Take part in the design phase to select relays and fuses based on function, performance, reliability and cost
• Develop and maintain component specifications and align them with hardware teams and suppliers
• Lead component management, including technology roadmaps and supplier strategies with EM-CCT and EM-PE
• Manage and maintain the EM Preferred Component Catalogue for relays and fuses
• Support hardware development, manufacturing and quality teams technically
• Support root cause analysis of component failures in production or field use
• Monitor emerging technologies, trends and standards, and develop supplier relationships
• Act as the main technical interface with external suppliers

Required profile

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or a related technical field
• Experience in hardware development and electrical/electronic components
• Strong understanding of relay and fuse technologies or related automotive electronic components
• Experience in component engineering, component management or hardware development
• Knowledge of supplier management and technical collaboration with partners
• Analytical, problem-solving, structured and proactive approach
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Fluent English, written and spoken
