Development Engineer – Soldering Technology & Footprint Designer (Maternity Cover)

About the role

We are looking for a Development Engineer to join our Soldering Technology team in Budapest on a maternity‑cover basis. The role focuses on designing advanced solder joint footprints and supporting product development from early stages.

Key responsibilities

• Design state‑of‑the‑art solder joint land patterns, considering manufacturing constraints and product lifetime.
• Provide technical support for strategic projects and address manufacturing‑related problems.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams locally and internationally.
• Participate early in product development cycles to ensure manufacturability.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Mechanical, Materials, Electrical or Automotive Engineering.
• Negotiation‑level proficiency in English; German is a plus.
• Analytical, project‑oriented mindset with strong problem‑solving abilities.
• Independent decision‑making and high attention to detail.

Required skills

• Proficiency with 3D design software.
