Engineer, Technical Service

About the role

Lonza is seeking a client‑facing Engineer, Technical Service to support customers across EMEA, primarily in Eastern Europe. The role combines remote technical support with on‑site visits, ensuring high‑quality service for our capsule filling operations.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary technical point of contact for clients, delivering support remotely and on site.
• Travel up to 50% of the time to customer locations across EMEA to support installations, operations, and troubleshooting.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships to ensure long‑term satisfaction.
• Support audits, client visits, and technical discussions as a subject‑matter expert.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (Quality, Production, MSAT, Project Management) to meet client expectations.
• Ensure all activities comply with GMP, safety, and regulatory standards.

Required profile

• Experience in a technical role within pharmaceutical, biotech, nutraceutical or other regulated environments.
• Background in capsule filling industry, especially with capsule filling machine technologies.
• Strong client‑facing and communication skills across diverse cultures.
• Fluency in English and preferably an Eastern European language (e.g., Polish, Romanian, Czech).
• Willingness to travel internationally up to 50% of the time.
