HW Analysis Trainee

About the role

As an HW Analysis Trainee in the XC‑AC Camera Products team, you will support second‑level field return investigations for automotive camera systems. Working with experienced hardware engineers, you will analyse returned products, identify root causes and perform validation and debugging in a laboratory environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support second‑level analysis of field‑return camera products.
• Perform electrical hardware analysis and failure debugging.
• Conduct hardware and software tests in laboratory settings.
• Assist in root‑cause analysis and technical problem‑solving.
• Develop and maintain analysis tools and scripts.
• Document investigation results.
• Collaborate with international cross‑functional teams to resolve technical issues.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing or completed a BSc in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Physics or a comparable technical field.
• Minimum 20 hours per week and at least one year of active student status.
• Good English and/or German language skills.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and in global teams.
• Structured, systematic and self‑organized working style.

Required skills

• Programming in C/C#, LabVIEW, Python, Assembler or VBA.
• Knowledge of digital electronics.
• Familiarity with hardware measurement and laboratory equipment.
