Logistics Officer (1-year temporary)

About the role

Join BASF’s Supply Chain & Logistics team in Budapest as a Logistics Officer on a one‑year fixed‑term contract. You will be responsible for managing end‑to‑end stock and warehouse processes while ensuring cost‑efficient, lean inventory and smooth shipment execution.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end stock and warehouse operations, keeping inventory lean, available, and cost‑efficient.
• Plan and coordinate shipments from order entry to final delivery, selecting transport modes and forwarders.
• Drive freight and warehouse cost optimisation through consolidation and cost control.
• Collaborate with warehouse and logistics partners to ensure compliance with BASF standards, EHS and regulations.
• Handle logistics documentation, invoicing, additional costs, claims and NCM topics.
• Support audits, physical stock counts, reporting and maintain data accuracy in SAP master data.
• Prepare EPR and environmental product fee reports.
• Perform EKAER registrations.

Required profile

• University or college degree in a related field, or relevant work experience in sales, customer support or logistics.
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office and SAP.
• Fluent in English and proficient in Hungarian.
• Growth mindset with a proactive, "can‑do" attitude.
