About the role
Join Kyndryl’s global team to lead the modernization of mainframe applications, shaping strategy and design for critical enterprise systems.
Key responsibilities
- Define and prioritize modernization roadmaps, balancing cost and risk.
- Design innovative software frameworks, system interfaces and application prototypes.
- Provide technical leadership, conduct design and code reviews, and enforce enterprise‑wide standards.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to align architecture with business goals.
- Create and maintain comprehensive architecture documentation.
Required profile
- Experience delivering large‑scale customer change and transformation projects.
- Deep knowledge of hardware, software and connectivity between platforms.
Required skills
- Strong understanding of z/OS and IBM software products.
- Experience with mainframe modernization projects (modernize on, integrate with, move off).
- Open Group Master Certified Architect (or equivalent) preferred.
- Hands‑on mainframe environment experience.
