Medior Project Manager – German speaking

About the role

Adnovum is seeking a Medior Project Manager to join its Financial Sector Unit in Budapest. You will support complex software development and transformation projects for Swiss‑based clients, ensuring structure, transparency and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Provide project planning support, governance coordination, milestone tracking and management reporting.
• Coordinate stakeholders, project managers, delivery teams and management committees proactively.
• Handle budget, forecast, staffing and commercial project controlling in close collaboration with Finance.
• Identify, track and report risks, dependencies, decisions and escalations.
• Act as a trusted PMO counterpart for project managers, clients and internal leadership, communicating in German and English.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of PMO standards, templates, reporting routines and delivery governance, including the use of AI‑enabled tools.

Required profile

• Several years of proven experience in PMO or project coordination within complex IT or software development environments, preferably in the financial services sector.
• Strong ownership mindset and ability to drive PMO topics from ambiguity to resolution.
• Excellent communication, coordination and stakeholder‑management skills across interdisciplinary and international teams.
• Confident presence in client‑facing and management‑facing situations.
• Fluency in German and English.
• Solid understanding of project financials, budget tracking, forecasting and delivery governance.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong affinity for AI, digital collaboration tools, automation and data‑driven PMO reporting.
