Programme Management Officer – Cyber & New Technologies

About the role

The United Nations Counter-Terrorism Centre (UNCCT) in Budapest is seeking a Programme Management Officer for its Cyber and New Technologies Unit. The incumbent will support the Global Counter-Terrorism Programme on Cybersecurity and New Technologies, helping Member States and UN entities address emerging threats.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in the design, implementation and evaluation of assigned projects, monitoring progress and analysing outcomes.
• Review project documents and reports, identify issues, propose corrective actions and track follow-up activities.
• Conduct consulting assignments, facilitate workshops and deliver training sessions in collaboration with clients.
• Research, analyse and present information on challenges and opportunities of new technologies for counter-terrorism and cybersecurity.
• Design and carry out surveys, develop data-collection tools and interpret results to inform programme decisions.

Required profile

• Experience in programme or project development, implementation and evaluation within an international or security-focused environment.
• Ability to conduct research, produce analytical reports and present findings to diverse stakeholders.
• Strong communication skills for workshop facilitation and client interaction.
