Purchasing Quality Engineer

About the role

As a Purchasing Quality Engineer you will ensure that all purchased parts and raw materials meet Bosch’s high quality standards across global projects. You will work closely with suppliers, internal development teams and Bosch locations worldwide to guarantee a smooth product launch and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead preventive quality and release activities for purchased components and specific raw materials on a global scale.
• Verify compliance with Bosch quality standards throughout product development and release at suppliers and sub‑suppliers.
• Participate in cross‑functional SE teams and drive technical discussions with suppliers.
• Support supplier nomination, sourcing decisions and ramp‑up activities for new production launches.
• Own purchased part quality, define corrective actions and monitor progress toward project and quality goals.
• Promote continuous improvement through lessons‑learned activities and transparent status reporting to senior management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Mechatronics, Physics, Engineering Management or a related technical field.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Strong analytical mindset with a systematic, solution‑oriented approach.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work in an international, cross‑functional environment.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with quality methods and tools: PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, and Preventive Quality Planning (PQP).
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as plastic injection molding, electromechanical assemblies, stamping, forming, aluminum die casting, machining and grinding.
• Experience with casting, forging, bearing and stamping technologies is an advantage.
