Senior Software Developer – Computer-Aided Design

About the role

Join Bosch's Mobility Electronics division to develop a cutting‑edge Computer‑Aided Design (CAD) tool that supports the creation of micro‑mechanical sensors (MEMS). You will work in an international, multidisciplinary environment, collaborating closely with in‑house R&D and world‑renowned customers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop a CAD tool with a Java kernel and MATLAB interface based on design‑engineer requirements.
• Implement algorithms for geometric operations and optimise the tool for efficiency, usability and reliability.
• Design and review the tool architecture to ensure flexibility and maintainability.
• Automate design workflows and apply AI techniques to enhance sensor development.
• Provide user support, mentor colleagues and contribute to the technical roadmap.

Required profile

• 3+ years of professional software development experience, preferably in desktop applications.
• Strong problem‑solving mindset, growth orientation and collaborative spirit.
• Ability to work independently, take initiative and adapt to changing conditions.
• Professional proficiency in English, both spoken and written.

Required skills

• Java (desktop application development)
• MATLAB programming
• Experience with modern AI capabilities
• Knowledge of CAD or numerical algorithms (strong plus)
• Familiarity with mechanical simulations, finite‑element analysis and MEMS (advantage)
