Senior Software Developer in Computer-Aided Design

About the role

As a Senior Software Developer you will join Bosch's Mobility Electronics division to create and evolve a cutting‑edge Computer‑Aided Design (CAD) tool used for designing MEMS sensor micro‑structures. You will work in a dynamic, international environment, collaborating closely with in‑house R&D and world‑renowned automotive and consumer customers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop a CAD tool with a Java kernel and MATLAB interface based on design engineer requirements.
• Implement and optimise algorithms for geometric operations and innovative sensor designs.
• Design and review tool architecture to ensure flexibility, maintainability and performance.
• Incorporate user‑experience improvements and rigorous testing to guarantee reliability.
• Automate design workflows and apply state‑of‑the‑art AI to accelerate sensor development.
• Provide user support and contribute to the technical roadmap of the tool.

Required profile

• Degree in software engineering, computer science, electrical/mechanical engineering, mathematics, physics or a related field.
• At least three years of professional software development experience.
• Strong background in Java, preferably desktop application development.
• Interest and experience with modern AI techniques.
• Experience with CAD, numerical algorithms or mechanical simulations is a strong plus.
