Senior Software Engineer

About the role

PTC is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join its globally distributed Agile team working on the Codebeamer ALM platform. You will design, develop, and maintain enterprise‑scale web applications while influencing architecture and mentoring peers.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and maintain high‑quality software in an Agile (Scrum/Kanban) environment.
• Own complex features from design through deployment, ensuring performance and scalability.
• Participate in technical design discussions, code reviews and architecture decisions.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, QA, UX designers and support teams.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to documentation and knowledge sharing.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Java SE, Spring Framework (Spring MVC, Spring Boot) and modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks (Angular).
• Experience building enterprise‑grade web applications and working with relational databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle).
• Proficiency with Git, CI/CD pipelines and Agile development practices.
