Subproject Leader – Mechanical Design for Transmission Control Units

About the role

We are looking for a Subproject Leader to drive mechanical development and serial support for Transmission Control Units (TCUs) within our ENG46 team. You will coordinate cross‑functional activities, lead an international project team, and ensure successful product launches.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate mechanical development of TCUs, including die‑cast, sheet‑metal, plastic parts and PCB layout, up to SOP.
• Lead an international project team covering design, purchasing, production technology, and series preparation.
• Plan and monitor scheduling, quality, resources, capacity, costs and risk management.
• Introduce improvement measures and maintain project documentation per Bosch quality directives.
• Report project status to internal customers and management regularly.
• Coordinate technical topics with customers, Bosch departments and production sites.
• Apply and improve development methods according to Bosch and customer requirements.
• Provide serial support for existing TCU products, handling problem solving, change management and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• University or technical college degree in mechanical, electronic, mechatronics or related engineering.
• Fluent English (negotiation level).
• Project‑leader mindset with proven experience leading international teams.
• Strong communication, negotiation and decision‑making skills.
• Ability to work under pressure, systematic and analytical approach.
• Willingness to travel as needed.
