System Application Engineer

About the role

As a System Application Engineer at Bosch Engineering Centre Budapest, you will contribute to the development of advanced mobility solutions by supporting acquisition projects, analysing performance requirements and ensuring technical feasibility of automotive applications.

Key responsibilities

• Provide effort estimations for complete application processes during acquisitions.
• Collaborate with Requirement Engineers throughout acquisition phases.
• Analyse performance requirements and verify technical feasibility.
• Define, optimise and calibrate application parameters.
• Conduct product installation studies, including sensor placement and environment assessment.
• Perform parameter tuning, performance optimisation and product calibration.
• Execute laboratory and vehicle tests, generate structured reports and present findings.
• Review and validate parameter sets prior to release.
• Integrate parameters into software together with development teams.
• Review test specifications and evaluate test results with the testing team.
• Maintain professional communication with customers and provide technical support during requirement analysis and installation studies.

Required profile

• BSc or MSc in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a comparable field.
• Strong analytical skills for requirement analysis and performance evaluation.
• Experience in laboratory and vehicle testing environments (preferred).
• Process‑ and quality‑oriented working style.
• Ability to work effectively in cross‑functional teams.
• Creative, pragmatic problem‑solving approach.
• Willingness to travel, including international assignments.
• Fluent English; German is a plus.
