T1 SOC Analyst – Security Operations

About the role

Kyndryl is looking for a T1 SOC Analyst to join its 24/7 Global Security Operations Center in Budapest. You will support clients by monitoring, triaging and responding to security incidents, helping to protect their environments from internal and external threats.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preliminary incident triage using the Security Incident Management Triage Matrix, set priorities and track remediation.
• Utilize intrusion detection, security scanning, log collection and content filtering tools for investigation and response.
• Coordinate incident handling, provide recommendations for containment and communicate with stakeholders.
• Maintain and update SOC documentation, including investigation playbooks and incident notes.
• Collaborate with Threat Hunting, Threat Intelligence and Red Team to improve monitoring and defense capabilities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, IT or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 0‑2 years of security analyst experience, preferably in a managed‑services environment.
• Strong analytical and critical‑thinking skills; ability to work independently or within a team.
• Fluent English; German is a plus.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with SIEM platforms such as QRadar, Splunk or Microsoft Sentinel.
• Experience with endpoint detection and response tools (e.g., Microsoft Defender).
• Basic knowledge of SOAR technologies.
• Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK, D3FEND and the Cyber Kill Chain frameworks.
