Technology Development Engineer – Polymer Technologies

About the role

As a Technology Development Engineer you will lead the development, optimisation and industrialisation of manufacturing processes for polymer‑based technologies. You will work closely with product and material development teams, providing expertise in material characterisation and process engineering.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, optimise and scale up polymer manufacturing processes.
• Collaborate with R&D, product and material teams as the technology lead for chemical technologies.
• Define machine requirements, process specifications and global process rules to enhance performance and quality.
• Conduct data‑driven statistical analysis of production parameters and execute processing trials.
• Design and implement material‑specific measurement methods and advance characterisation approaches.

Required profile

• BSc/MSc in Engineering or Material Sciences (PhD is a plus).
• Professional experience in technology development or R&D, preferably in polymer or manufacturing technologies.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and self‑organisation.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in international teams.
• Willingness to travel occasionally to suppliers or other plants.
