Applications Engineering Intern - Wireless IoT

About the role

Silicon Labs' Hungary team, which works on RF chip design and related software, hardware and tools, is looking for students interested in IoT and wireless technologies. The internship gives hands-on experience with embedded software, test automation and hardware, and you will work alongside experienced Applications Engineers on real engineering projects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and modify embedded applications for wireless and IoT devices.
• Write Python tools and scripts for automated testing and measurements.
• Set up, test and experiment with wireless systems and IoT devices.
• Help develop hardware and software tools for device integration and debugging.
• Perform measurements, collect and analyse results.
• Gain hands-on experience with wireless test equipment and development tools.
• Work with Applications Engineers on practical hardware, software and wireless engineering problems.

Required profile

• Student of electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, electronics, telecommunications or a similar technical field.
• Interest in IoT, embedded systems and wireless technologies.
• Some programming experience with C and Python.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Bonus: basic electronics and schematic/PCB design
