Lead Financial Analyst, Overhead COE - Africa Team

About the role

Diageo is hiring a Lead Financial Analyst for its Overhead Centre of Excellence (COE) covering the Africa team, based in Budapest. The role sits within the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) function, which supports long-term planning, annual operating planning, performance analysis and reporting, and acts as a business partner to the Africa Business on overheads. The position is offered on a fixed-term contract.

Key responsibilities

• Support annual planning, monthly reporting, forecasting and O&R processes for Overheads
• Prepare variance analysis and commentary, identifying key drivers, trends, risks and opportunities
• Partner with budget holders and functions such as HR and Legal to understand overhead movements
• Ensure accurate, timely reporting including month-end close, following internal controls and policies
• Identify gaps, risks and opportunities and support stakeholders in understanding their financial impact
• Respond to collaborator queries promptly and work with other markets, regional and global teams and the Overhead GPO
• Contribute to process improvement, support internal and external audits and ensure compliance with financial policies

Required profile

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or a related field
• 4-6 years of proven experience in controlling, FP&A or financial analysis
• Experience in an international and multicultural environment
• Fluent written and spoken English
• Proactive, collaborative and customer-focused approach

Required skills

• Solid knowledge of financial planning, reporting, forecasting and cost controlling
• Strong Excel skills and confidence with financial systems and data tools
• Experience with SAP and/or Power BI is an advantage
