Medical Advisor – Oncology (Breast Cancer) – Budapest

About the role

AstraZeneca is looking for a Medical Advisor for its Breast Cancer therapeutic area in Budapest. As the primary scientific partner for the oncology team, you will shape medical strategy, build trusted scientific partnerships with external experts and organisations, and support launch excellence across the oncology portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to the Oncology medical strategy and work with Brand Teams to plan activities aligned with business objectives and upcoming launches
• Design and deliver therapeutic area and product training, and run regular knowledge assessments for commercial and other internal teams
• Work with Medical Science Liaisons and colleagues across cluster, regional and global teams, delivering internal presentations as required
• Build two-way relationships with Key External Experts, take part in advisory boards and congresses, organise external medical education for HCPs and support disease awareness initiatives
• Provide medical input during reimbursement processes and help with SmPC updates, authority correspondence and Risk Management materials with Regulatory Affairs and Patient Safety
• Review and approve promotional and non-promotional material for scientific accuracy and compliance
• Collaborate on TA-related studies, lead or support Real-World Evidence projects, non-interventional studies and patient registries
• Respond to unsolicited medical information requests through approved channels

Required profile

• University degree in medicine (MD), pharmacy (PharmD) or life sciences (MSc)
• At least 3 years in a multinational pharmaceutical company, with solid experience in Medical Affairs
• Native Hungarian and fluent English (written and spoken)
• Desirable: insight into product development from discovery to launch, marketing or sales knowledge, GCP licence, high-level oncology knowledge and ability to work with large datasets
