Regional AME Test Engineer

About the role

HARMAN Automotive's Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Test organization is looking for a Regional AME Test Engineer in Székesfehérvár, Hungary. As an individual contributor, you will shape the test strategy and manufacturing test infrastructure for next-generation automotive products such as infotainment systems, audio amplifiers and telematics control units, working with engineering, quality, manufacturing, suppliers and global teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop manufacturing test concepts, specifications and validation strategies that support product launches.
• Lead the development and implementation of hardware and software solutions for test equipment.
• Collaborate with product development, quality, manufacturing and supplier teams to deliver robust test systems.
• Optimize test processes, cycle times and test coverage to improve efficiency and reduce quality risks.
• Drive continuous improvement by introducing new test technologies and measurement methods.
• Coordinate test equipment deployment from concept through commissioning, for prototypes, industrialization and serial production.
• Contribute to global engineering standards, knowledge sharing and lessons learned.

Required profile

• Understanding of manufacturing test engineering principles, validation methodologies and production test systems.
• Ability to design, develop and troubleshoot test equipment hardware and software.
• Knowledge of measurement techniques, data analysis and test coverage optimization.
• Strong problem-solving, collaboration and independent task management skills.
• Continuous improvement mindset; baseline familiarity with using AI to support work is expected.
• English at a professional level; occasional domestic and international travel may be required.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of C# programming for manufacturing test applications and automation.
• Solid understanding of electronics fundamentals: analog and digital circuits, measurement techniques, signal analysis and hardware troubleshooting.
• Bonus points: experience with automotive electronics manufacturing and end-of-line test systems, industrial test platforms, automated measurement equipment, fixture development, MSA/capability analysis, international suppliers, and IATF 16949.
