Senior Java Developer

About the role

Accenture is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Java Developer to join its team in Budapest. You will play a key role in designing and developing custom-built applications using Java technologies and related frameworks, working in a team and mentoring junior developers.

Key responsibilities

• Design and code clean, maintainable, high-performance custom solutions in Java and related frameworks
• Follow defined methodology and standards to deliver high-quality software
• Conduct code reviews and give constructive feedback to team members
• Mentor and guide junior developers
• Write and run unit tests so applications meet requirements
• Stay up to date with industry trends and technologies
• Take part in an Agile community focused on Agile delivery principles

Required profile

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in Java back-end development
• Active English; German is an advantage
• Team player with excellent communication skills
• Legal right to work in Hungary without visa sponsorship

Required skills

• Java and Java frameworks such as Spring
• SQL and database design
• Design patterns, architectural blueprints, UML and application design
• Agile/Scrum
• Advantages: microservices, front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript), cloud components (API gateway, workflow orchestration, serverless), Kubernetes, AKS, Docker and continuous delivery tools
