Senior Migration Consultant – Clinical Data Programming

About the role

Veeva's Vault Clinical Data Management System (CDMS) migration team helps life‑science sponsors move from legacy platforms such as Medidata Rave and Oracle InForm to the unified Vault CDMS platform.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with Sponsors and CROs to interpret legacy clinical database structures, protocol specifications, and data‑mapping requirements.
• Perform data transformation, mapping, and script validation on large, complex clinical datasets extracted from legacy platforms.
• Lead end‑to‑end data migration delivery across complex, active clinical trials, coordinating closely with cross‑functional technical teams.
• Develop and configure validation scripts and custom SQL‑based listings to ensure data integrity, auditability, and cleanliness during ingestion.
• Provide feedback to Vault CDMS and DQS product teams and contribute reusable migration tools while mentoring junior team members.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience with EDC clinical software and end‑to‑end data management.
• Solid understanding of clinical trial processes, especially data collection and review.
• Programming experience in SAS, R, Python, or SQL.
• Background in the life‑sciences industry and experience in a customer‑facing consulting role.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 10%, potentially internationally.
