Senior Software Engineer (ID Verification Team)

About the role

SEON is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join its ID Verification Team in Budapest. You will help evolve a beta ID verification product into a core component of SEON’s fraud‑prevention suite, delivering features across backend services, SDKs and customer‑facing platforms. The role offers a hybrid work schedule and the chance to shape a high‑impact product used by leading digital brands.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain high‑quality Node.js, TypeScript and React code for backend services, SDKs and admin dashboards.
• Collaborate with the team to implement cutting‑edge client and database features, ensuring performance and scalability.
• Review pull requests, provide mentorship, and suggest best‑practice improvements.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from feature design to rollout.

Required profile

• 5+ years of full‑stack engineering experience with Node.js, TypeScript and React.
• Strong ownership mindset – you build, run and continuously improve services.
• Proven ability to write automated tests and optimise performance.
• Experience with micro‑services, event‑driven architecture and refactoring monoliths.
• Comfort working in Agile, cross‑functional teams and mentoring peers.
