Senior Specialist - F&A R2R (Record to Report)

About the role

Genpact is looking for a Senior Specialist in Finance and Accounting (F&A) covering the Record to Report (R2R) function. The role manages the full R2R process, from journal entries and general ledger to financial reporting, and works in a hybrid setting in Hungary.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the complete R2R process, including journal entries, general ledger, fixed assets, intercompany accounting, reconciliations and financial reporting, and ensure timely monthly, quarterly and annual closings aligned with GAAP/IFRS and internal controls.
• Prepare financial reports and statements for internal and external stakeholders, oversee statutory reporting and SOX compliance, and coordinate with external and internal auditors.
• Review and approve journal entries, accruals and reclassifications, and oversee month-end and year-end close and chart of accounts maintenance.
• Reconcile intercompany transactions and balances, and manage the fixed asset lifecycle (acquisition, capitalization, depreciation, disposal).
• Supervise balance sheet reconciliations, resolve reconciling items, and monitor internal controls and audit readiness.
• Drive process standardization, automation (e.g. BlackLine, RPA) and continuous improvement, and keep R2R documentation, SOPs and workflows up to date.
• Act as the finance leader's point of contact for R2R service delivery, collaborate with P2P, O2C, tax, treasury and IT, and hold governance meetings and service reviews.
• Track KPIs such as close cycle time and reconciliation accuracy, present dashboards to senior management, and support risk assessments and corrective actions.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Commerce, Economics or Finance, or a Master's in Finance.
• Certified Financial Analyst (CFA) certification.
• Advanced German (C1); German is required.
