Shopify Architect

About the role

As a Shopify Architect at Formlabs, you will design, enhance, and maintain back‑end Shopify B2B commerce platforms, integrate with Salesforce, ERP, and other systems, and ensure performance, stability, and scalability of the digital environment.

Key responsibilities

• Architect, develop, configure, and customize the back‑end Shopify B2B Commerce platform, including Shopify Apps, Functions, Extensions, and APIs.
• Design and develop complex B2B capabilities beyond standard Shopify features and integrate them across Formlabs’ digital landscape.
• Partner with headless front‑end teams to provide backend data and API endpoints for fast, SEO‑optimized user experiences.
• Collaborate with the Salesforce team to build integrations, features, and functions that enable sales and service excellence.
• Drive enterprise integrations between Shopify, Salesforce, ERP, data warehouse and other internal/external systems using APIs and middleware.
• Contribute to digital roadmap initiatives such as marketing automation, AI‑driven tools, and vendor solutions.
• Apply modern software development practices: version control, CI/CD, automated testing, and clean documentation.
• Work with stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions and influence the strategic direction of Formlabs’ digital ecosystem.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional experience as a full‑stack engineer building eCommerce or digital platforms for B2B.
• Proven back‑end expertise with Shopify B2B, Shopify Apps, Functions, Extensions, and APIs in a headless context.
• Strong understanding of enterprise integration complexities involving Shopify, Salesforce, ERP, and data warehouses.
• Hands‑on experience with the Salesforce ecosystem (Apex, Lightning, Flow, validation rules, automations, APIs).
• Data‑savvy: ability to write SQL queries from scratch and familiarity with data‑warehouse tools such as BigQuery.
• Experience with development and deployment tools like GitHub, Gearset, and Kubernetes.
• Excellent problem‑solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent practical experience.
