Tax Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Tax Specialist to join our Group Tax team in Budapest. You will work in a fast‑growing SaaS company, supporting indirect tax, transfer pricing and M&A‑related tax projects while gaining exposure to international tax matters.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Group Tax team on international indirect tax matters, including VAT and other transaction tax topics.
• Assist in the preparation and maintenance of transfer pricing documentation, especially local files.
• Contribute to M&A and post‑merger integration tax projects.
• Conduct tax research and prepare analyses on direct and indirect tax issues.
• Collect, structure and analyse tax‑related financial data from various business units.
• Prepare and maintain tax reports, tables and dashboards for management decision‑making.
• Develop management presentations summarising complex tax matters.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external advisors across multiple jurisdictions.
• Support ongoing tax compliance, audits and special tax projects as required.

Required profile

• University degree in Tax, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Law or a related field.
• Approximately 2–3 years of professional experience with a solid generalist tax background.
• Experience with transfer pricing documentation, particularly local files.
• Basic knowledge of indirect tax topics, especially VAT in an international environment.
• Exposure to M&A‑related tax matters is an advantage.
• Experience in an international group environment is beneficial.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel skills, including data analysis and reporting.
