Audit Services for ECHO FPA Ex-ante Assessment

About the role
Terre des hommes is seeking an experienced audit consultant to deliver an independent ex‑ante assessment for the EU DG ECHO Food‑and‑Pharmacy Aid (FPA) programme. The assignment runs from 1 September 2026 to 25 March 2027 and is based in Budapest, Hungary.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct audit services in line with the DG ECHO Terms of Reference for the Independent Assessment Report.
- Collect, analyse and verify financial and operational data related to the FPA programme.
- Prepare audit findings, recommendations and a final report for submission to DG ECHO.
- Coordinate with Terre des hommes staff and relevant EU officials throughout the assignment.
Required profile
- Relevant qualifications as detailed in chapter 4 of the DG ECHO Terms of Reference.
- Proven experience in conducting audits for international humanitarian or development programmes.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of French or Hungarian is an advantage.
