Automotive Technical Support Engineer (German Speaking)

About the role

MSX International is looking for an experienced automotive technician to join its new Technical Support team in Budapest. You will help workshop technicians in the German-speaking dealer network of a leading global car manufacturer diagnose and fix vehicles right the first time, using your hands-on diagnostic expertise from a desk rather than the workshop floor.

Key responsibilities

• Handle technical cases from German-speaking dealer workshops through a ticketing system
• Analyse fault codes, symptoms, live data and repair information to find the root cause
• Guide technicians to the right repair, in clear written German
• Document every case accurately and escalate complex cases to the Level 2 team with all the information they need
• Spoor recurring issues and share them with the engineering team
• Build expertise on electric and high-voltage vehicles through manufacturer training

Required profile

• Hands-on experience in a dealer or independent workshop, with a focus on diagnostics
• A technical qualification (e.g. Kfz-Mechatroniker, Kfz-Techniker, Kfz-Meister, automotive technician) or an engineering degree
• Fluent German and good professional English
• Analytical, independent way of working and the patience to handle a high volume of cases
• Right to work in the EU
• High-voltage / EV qualification (e.g. DGUV 209-093 level 2S/3S or equivalent)
• Experience with a technical hotline, warranty or ticketing tools

• HUF 800,000–850,000 gross per month
• Hybrid work from Budapest with flexible home office (candidates living elsewhere in Hungary can talk to the recruiter)
• Monday to Friday, 08:00–17:00, no weekends
