Data Analyst (1-Year Fixed-Term)

About the role

Syngenta Seeds Field Crops is looking for a Data Analyst on a 1-year fixed-term contract in Budapest. The role ensures the availability, quality and integrity of data across quality-testing activities and leads analytical projects at global, regional and country level within the seed-testing network.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and deliver analytical projects at global, regional and country level.
• Develop, maintain and improve KPI dashboards and reporting frameworks for laboratory performance monitoring and management decisions.
• Analyse quality-testing and project data and turn findings into practical, decision-enabling insights.
• Develop predictive models supporting test reduction and earlier operational decisions.
• Support seasonal and short-term test-volume planning across laboratory, regional and global operations.
• Ensure global analytical outputs align with company standards and drive continuous improvement in analytical tools, methodologies and data governance.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Business Administration, Supply Chain, Economics or a related discipline.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Ability to turn data into clear, actionable business recommendations and explain results to non-technical audiences.
• Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Familiarity with project-management principles and tools such as Agile, PMI or equivalent.
• Able to work independently, manage deadlines and work accurately in a global, multicultural environment.

Required skills

• Strong working knowledge of Power BI and SQL.
• Understanding of basic statistical analysis and experience with complex, multi-source datasets.
• Python or R is an advantage.
