Financial Accountant

About the role

MSX International, which supports automotive brands worldwide in repair performance, customer satisfaction and aftersales operations across more than 80 countries, is looking for a Financial Accountant to join its Budapest office. The role goes beyond bookkeeping: you will collaborate with internal and external partners to resolve issues and requests.

Key responsibilities

• Accounts payable: process and review incoming supplier invoices and ensure they are correctly encrypted and approved in line with company policy
• Accounts receivable: record and monitor incoming payments, reconcile receivables, record receivables accurately in the accounting system and issue customer invoices, resolving discrepancies and answering customer questions about invoices and payments
• Bank accounting: run regular bank reconciliations, update bank transactions, process payments on time, monitor cash flows and bank activity
• Reporting and closing: support monthly and annual closing and balance sheet reconciliations
• Manage advance payments, fixed assets, mobile phones, and handle intra-group invoicing and intercompany postings

Required profile

• Diploma in finance, accounting or a related field
• At least 3 years of experience in finance, accounting or reporting in an international company (medium-sized preferred)
• Experience with payroll accounting and taxation
• Chartered accountancy registration
• Strong written and spoken English; Czech or Polish is an advantage
• Reliable, meets deadlines, team-oriented problem solver with good communication skills

Required skills

• Expert MS Office skills, especially Excel
• Experience with ERP systems such as JD Edwards, accounts payable and receivable, and financial report preparation
• International accounting experience (IFRS)
