General Ledger Accountant

About the role

HARMAN, a technology leader, is looking for a skilled and motivated General Ledger Accountant to join its team in Székesfehérvár. The role takes ownership of GL reporting activities, working independently to ensure accuracy, timeliness and compliance with corporate guidelines, while supporting compliance, audits and other key financial processes.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with global teams across all HARMAN businesses
• Independently perform daily tasks according to written instructions, working closely with the general accounting and reporting team and the line manager
• Handle month-end closing: reconcile ERP and consolidation tools, prepare financial statements, cash flow reports and schedules
• Perform detailed balance sheet GL account reconciliations and track open items with action plans
• Carry out IFRS 16 lease-related accounting tasks
• Review and update control documents regularly and support internal and external audits

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in GL accounting
• Ability to work in a multinational environment and with priorities and deadlines
• Nice to have: SAP knowledge and finance reporting experience

Required skills

• Intermediate English and professional language skills
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the Office suite
