Accounting Manager (Turkish Market)

About the role

IFF's Global Business Services team is looking for an Accounting Manager for the Turkish market, based in Budapest on a hybrid basis. The role coordinates and oversees a defined accounting area, focusing on review, approval, compliance and audit readiness, ensuring accounting outputs are accurate, complete, timely and compliant with group accounting policies, internal controls and local statutory requirements. It acts as a key link between accounting operations, local management, auditors and tax partners.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing under US GAAP, following IFF's financial standards and procedures
• Be responsible for US GAAP reporting according to IFF corporate requests
• Handle statutory reporting and lead the annual statutory audit, including reconciliation between US GAAP and local GAAP
• Review local tax filings and declarations with Corporate Tax, including corporate income tax and VAT
• Coordinate and supervise internal and external audit requests, and support the tax team on tax audits and country management on government inspections
• Act as contact for insurance matters and contracts, and support the country manager and leadership team on finance and accounting matters

Required profile

• University degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics
• 5+ years of finance/accounting leadership experience, ideally in a similar role
• Fluent English and Turkish; Hungarian is a big advantage
• Certified Public Accountant or ACCA, and experience in an accounting and audit firm, are a plus

Required skills

• Proficiency in US GAAP and local GAAP/statutory/regulatory reporting
• Strong computer and systems capability
• Knowledge of local taxation is a plus
