Global Business Process Specialist – Capital Investment Finance

About the role

Roche is looking for a Global Business Process Specialist to join the Business Process Management Finance team. The role drives the implementation of end‑to‑end BPM strategy for financial processes such as asset accounting, CAPEX and lease accounting, and supports a large‑scale SAP S/4 deployment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design, redesign and governance of global, cross‑divisional finance processes, ensuring they are lean, standardized and fit‑for‑purpose.
• Manage change requests, document requirements and drive automation within the SAP S/4 environment.
• Act as a Subject Matter Expert for asset, CAPEX and lease accounting during the SAP rollout.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across divisions, applying SAFe principles and agile roles such as product owner or scrum master.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Informatics, Engineering or a comparable field.
• 5‑7 years of experience in business process management, finance or accounting, preferably as a functional consultant or end‑user in SAP.
• Strong analytical mindset, ability to work in ambiguous, multicultural matrix environments and fluency in English.
• Proven influencing, change‑management and conflict‑resolution skills.

Required skills

• SAP FI/CO and SAP S/4 implementation experience.
• Asset accounting, lease accounting and CAPEX processes.
• IFRS accounting knowledge.
• Business Process Management (BPM) methodologies, Six Sigma, Scrum, Lean, PDCA and Kaizen.
