Hardware Optics Developer (ADAS)

About the role

Join Bosch's ADAS team in Budapest as a Hardware Optics Developer. You will work on camera‑based driver assistance systems, developing and validating optical components that enable safe and reliable vehicle perception.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and support optical systems for camera‑based ADAS products.
• Perform optical measurements with a focus on lens sharpness and validation.
• Support lens development, conduct lens reviews and manage optical module activities.
• Collaborate on image sensor and optical imager module projects.
• Carry out laboratory measurements in bright and dark optical labs.
• Assist serial‑production optical issues and troubleshooting.
• Work closely with international development teams in Germany, China and India.
• Coordinate with cross‑functional teams including project management, testing and architecture.

Required profile

• BSc/MSc in Physics, Mechatronics, Informatics or a related field (optical specialization preferred).
• Practical experience in optical measurements and laboratory environments.
• Experience with lens sharpness measurement or similar optical validation.
• Understanding of optics and electronics fundamentals.
• Good communication skills in English; German is a plus.
