HW Maintenance Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a proactive HW Maintenance Engineer to join Bosch’s production site in Budapest. You will ensure the reliability and availability of our machinery fleet by planning, executing and continuously improving maintenance activities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, review and optimise preventive maintenance (PM) plans for production equipment, machines and tools.
• Prepare and maintain maintenance schedules, coordinating with project requirements and machine specifications.
• Document all maintenance work (planned and unplanned) in the CMMS, including fault symptoms, interventions, spare parts used and repairs.
• Generate maintenance reports and monitor KPIs such as MTBF, MTTR and equipment utilisation.
• Troubleshoot machine failures quickly, performing mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic repairs either independently or within a team.
• Identify critical spare parts, manage inventory levels and trigger re‑orders in collaboration with procurement.
• Participate in projects aimed at increasing machine reliability, suggesting improvements to preventive maintenance and conducting root‑cause analyses.

Required profile

• Technical secondary education or higher (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics or related).
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Experience with a CMMS or similar maintenance management tool.
• System‑oriented thinking, strong problem‑solving abilities and proactive work attitude.
• Good communication skills and ability to work both independently and in a team.
• Intermediate level of spoken and written English.
