Plant Director (Pécs)

About the role

HARMAN Automotive is looking for a Plant Director to lead a single-site manufacturing operation in Pécs, Hungary. The role leads a team of functional managers and supervisors and owns end-to-end responsibility for meeting Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost (SQDC) targets. It is described as a high-impact leadership position with full site responsibility.

Key responsibilities

• Set the vision and direction for the manufacturing site and lead its strategy
• Drive Lean Manufacturing, quality, cost reduction, on-time delivery, safety, customer satisfaction, employee relations, visual controls and performance management
• Manage material requirements to increase inventory turns and reduce on-hand inventory
• Ensure compliance with company standards for cost control, waste reduction, quality, OSHA, safety, EHS/ESD and on-time delivery at the lowest possible cost
• Balance work cell capacity and loading across the plant and determine operational headcount needs
• Identify, communicate and drive capital investment and continuous improvement projects
• Ensure compliance with state and local laws, regulations and SOX requirements, and implement customer-specific requirements (GCSR)
• Lead employee relations through communication, coaching, training and development

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in automotive electronics manufacturing or plant operations; single-site responsibility is a strong advantage
• Strong track record delivering SQDC results and driving Lean and continuous improvement
• Leadership skills: building high-performing teams, coaching leaders and strengthening engagement
• Solid business acumen across cost, productivity, quality and delivery
• Experience managing compliance topics such as EHS/ESD, audits and regulatory requirements
• Confident communication and stakeholder management in a fast-paced environment
