Software Developer – Computer-Aided Design (CAD)

About the role

As a Software Developer in Computer-Aided Design you will join Bosch's Mobility Electronics division to create and enhance a CAD tool that supports the design of micro‑mechanical sensors (MEMS). You will work in a dynamic, international environment, collaborating closely with R&D teams and external customers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop a CAD tool with a Java kernel and MATLAB interface based on design‑engineer requirements.
• Implement algorithms for geometrical operations to enable innovative sensor designs.
• Optimize the tool for efficiency, usability and a seamless user experience.
• Ensure reliability through rigorous testing and quality assurance.
• Automate design workflows to reduce sensor development time.
• Provide user support and training for the tool.
• Apply state‑of‑the‑art AI techniques to enhance design workflows.

Required profile

• Degree in software engineering, computer science, electrical/mechanical engineering, mathematics, physics or a related field with a proven software development track record.
• Professional experience with Java (desktop application development preferred).
• Demonstrated interest and experience in modern AI capabilities.
• Experience with CAD or numerical algorithms is a strong plus.
• Programming experience in MATLAB is advantageous.
• Knowledge of mechanical simulations using finite‑element analysis and MEMS concepts is beneficial.
