Vehicle System Application Engineer

About the role

The Vehicle System Application Engineer will support the development and validation of advanced driver‑assistance systems (ADAS) for Bosch’s automotive portfolio. Working from the Bosch Engineering Centre in Budapest, you will be involved in testing, calibrating and tuning ADAS functions on closed tracks and public roads, ensuring they meet performance and safety requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute laboratory and vehicle tests for ADAS systems, including sensor placement studies.
• Analyse performance requirements, define application parameters and optimise them for real‑world conditions.
• Perform calibration, tuning and parameter validation, and integrate parameters into software together with development teams.
• Prepare structured test reports, review test specifications and results with cross‑functional testing teams.
• Support acquisition phases by providing effort estimations and collaborating with Requirement Engineers.
• Maintain professional communication with customers, offering technical support during requirement analysis and product installation phases.

Required profile

• BSc or MSc degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Strong analytical abilities for requirement analysis and performance evaluation.
• Process‑ and quality‑oriented working style with willingness to work in cross‑functional teams.
• Creative problem‑solving mindset and readiness to travel, including international assignments.
• Fluent in English; German language skills are a plus.
