Account Services Specialist - German Speaker

About the role

Avis Budget Group is looking for a motivated Account Services Specialist to join its Central Region Collection Team in Budapest. You will manage a portfolio of German customers, support debt recovery, keep account information accurate and work with internal and external stakeholders to deliver good customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of German customer accounts and support timely collection of outstanding receivables.
• Contact customers by phone and email about overdue payments and account balances.
• Handle incoming customer inquiries and resolve account-related questions.
• Negotiate payment arrangements and help customers find suitable solutions.
• Send balance confirmations, account statements and invoice copies on request.
• Maintain accurate customer records and update account information in internal systems.
• Investigate account discrepancies and support resolution of payment issues.
• Build relationships with customers, partners and rental stations, and work with other teams in the Business Support Center and local country organizations.
• Ensure compliance with internal processes, policies and service level agreements.

Required profile

• Minimum high school education; university or college degree is an advantage.
• Advanced German and English, written and spoken.
• Confidence communicating with customers by phone and email, and strong customer service and negotiation skills.
• Attention to detail, strong organization and ability to handle multiple priorities.
• Previous experience in collections, accounts receivable, customer service, finance operations or a similar administrative role is an advantage.

Required skills

• Familiarity with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
