KYC Specialist

About the role

Ayvens, a provider of leasing, subscription and fleet management services for sustainable mobility, is looking for a KYC Specialist in Budapest. The role covers client due diligence, risk assessment, sanctions and PEP screening, and liaison with account managers and sales teams.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct KYC and CDD reviews for new and existing clients, identifying and verifying customers, beneficial owners, directors, trustees and signatories
• Analyse ownership and control structures to identify Ultimate Beneficial Owners (UBOs)
• Review and validate client documentation against regulatory requirements and internal procedures, keeping files complete and accurate
• Perform risk-based client risk assessments, flagging high-risk customers and escalating them to Compliance for Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD)
• Evaluate risk indicators such as industry, geography, ownership structure, transaction profile and regulatory exposure
• Screen for sanctions, PEPs and adverse media, and escalate suspicious activity or compliance concerns
• Support periodic KYC reviews and remediation, and liaise with Account Managers and Sales Teams to obtain information and guide them on KYC requirements

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree
• Minimum 2-4 years of experience in KYC, AML, Compliance, Financial Crime, Client Onboarding or a related function
• Experience reviewing corporate ownership structures and legal documentation
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

Required skills

• Strong understanding of KYC, CDD, EDD, beneficial ownership identification, AML and financial crime regulations, and sanctions and PEP screening
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Preferred: familiarity with screening tools such as LexisNexis, World-Check or Dow Jones, and CRM or onboarding workflow tools
