About the role
Boam AI is looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to own and scale core Scala and Python data infrastructure. You will design resilient services, manage high‑volume pipelines, and ensure fast APIs for enterprise customers.
Key responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain resilient backend services and APIs.
- Own end‑to‑end data pipelines from ingestion through enrichment to delivery.
- Prepare systems for 100x data growth over the next three years.
- Embed reliability and test coverage directly in code.
- Improve performance, scalability, and observability across the stack.
Required profile
- 5+ years of experience building and operating production backend systems.
- Strong background with Scala, Python, or other functional/JVM languages.
- Comfortable with distributed systems, data modeling, and high‑volume pipelines.
- Enjoys greenfield work and shipping features with minimal bureaucracy.
