Accounting Specialist – Europe

About the role

ChainGPT is seeking a hands‑on Accounting Specialist to own end‑to‑end accounting and finance operations for a multi‑entity group operating across multiple jurisdictions. You will be responsible for audit‑ready books, disciplined controls, and compliant reporting across both crypto and fiat activities.

Key responsibilities

• Own monthly, quarterly and year‑end close across all entities, maintaining the general ledger, journal entries, accruals, FX revaluation and supporting schedules.
• Lead crypto transaction accounting, ensuring balances are reconciled with strong audit trails and maintaining classification rules for various crypto flows.
• Manage intercompany bookkeeping, invoicing, reconciliations and related‑party documentation.
• Implement finance controls, maintain a compliance calendar and coordinate with external accountants, auditors and tax advisors.
• Produce management‑ready reporting (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) and support budgeting, forecasting and treasury visibility.

Required profile

• 6+ years of experience in accounting, controllership or finance operations with full ownership of close and reporting.
• Prior experience in web3/crypto environments and strong technical accounting knowledge (IFRS/GAAP).
• Demonstrated ability to work in a lean, high‑ownership setting and communicate financial issues clearly to non‑finance stakeholders.

Required skills

• Xero (core accounting) – mandatory.
• Cryptio (crypto accounting/reconciliation) – mandatory.
• Basic SQL / data analysis proficiency.
