Data Engineer

About the role

Silicon Labs' IoT Infrastructure Software team is looking for a Data Engineer in Budapest. You will analyse and interpret complex data sets to give engineering teams actionable insights. The role suits someone with at least some years of data analysis experience who can work independently and collaboratively.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse and interpret complex data sets to provide insights to engineering teams
• Evaluate and select technologies and tools for data storage, processing and analytics
• Oversee data integration, ETL processes and data pipelines
• Ensure data security, privacy and compliance with regulatory requirements
• Monitor data performance, troubleshoot issues and optimise data processes for efficiency and scalability
• Write code in SQL and Python
• Build and deploy Infrastructure-as-Code and CI/CD automation (Jenkins)

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, statistics, mathematics or a related field
• 2-4 years of experience in data analysis
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
• Plus: exposure to machine learning projects, automated test environments for hardware validation or software QA, and familiarity with DevOps tools

Required skills

• SQL and Python
• Data visualisation with Power BI, Grafana or Tableau
• Hands-on experience with Glue and Redshift
• Knowledge of relational databases and schemas such as Snowflake
• Query writing for MSSQL, PostgreSQL, Redshift, AWS Athena or Trino
