Full-Stack Software Engineer (IoT Validation Tools)

About the role

Silicon Labs' IoT Validation Software team is looking for a full-stack software engineer to design, implement, test and support software tools that help automate the verification and validation of its IoT chips. The tools cover hardware, embedded, desktop object-oriented applications, web apps and database tools, and the position is based in the Budapest office.

Key responsibilities

• Support and develop scalable software infrastructure for automated verification of IoT MCU and wireless products
• Develop and troubleshoot code for user applications and utilities focused on IC validation
• Help verification, systems hardware and chip design engineers use the software tools
• Work with hardware, systems, IC design and marketing groups across different locations
• Build tools for test data analysis and presentation
• Develop and deliver training materials and demonstrations
• Evaluate, adopt and deploy new technologies, and communicate clearly to resolve issues

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering
• Professional software development experience at various levels
• Interest in software that works with hardware products and collaboration across teams

Required skills

• Full-stack technologies: JavaScript, TypeScript, Python and SQL
• Databases and SQL data manipulation
• Software build techniques and revision control tools
• Software testing methodologies
• Data reporting and visualization with Power BI
• AI-powered tools for productivity, analysis and decision-making
• Desirable: ANSI C, hardware programming, automated test environments, hardware debugging and lab equipment knowledge
