Embedded Software Engineer – IoT Validation Tools

About the role

Silicon Labs' IoT Validation Software team is looking for an embedded software engineer to design, implement, test and support software tools that help verify and validate IC products. The tools cover hardware, chip enablement, embedded development and desktop object-oriented applications, and are aimed at IoT chips combining MCU and wireless technologies. The role is based in the Budapest office at Graphisoft Park.

Key responsibilities

• Support and develop robust, scalable embedded software infrastructure for automated verification of IoT MCU and wireless products
• Develop drivers, tests and algorithms to verify hardware functionality
• Troubleshoot and integrate test and driver code with hardware test platforms
• Develop and troubleshoot code for user applications and utilities focused on IC validation
• Support verification and systems hardware engineers and chip design engineers in using the software tools
• Collaborate with hardware, systems, IC design and engineering groups across different locations
• Evaluate, adopt and deploy new technologies, and communicate clearly to resolve issues

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering
• Years of professional software development experience; different levels considered
• Interest in software that works with hardware products and willingness to collaborate across teams

Required skills

• Programming of hardware (chip and board level) and instrumentation with ANSI C or C++
• Hardware debugging skills
• Object-oriented programming in Python, C# or Java
• Software build techniques and revision control tools
• Software testing methodologies
• Experience with AI-powered tools that improve productivity, analysis and decision-making
• Desirable: automated test environments for hardware verification, lab equipment knowledge.NET/XML and Power BI

What we offer

• Base pay range of HUF 9,090,200 - 16,881,800 per year, depending on experience, location and skills
