Junior Accounts Payable Specialist

About the role

Greif, a global leader in performance packaging, is hiring a Junior Accounts Payable Specialist in Budapest. The role welcomes fresh graduates as well as candidates with 1-2 years of relevant experience. It covers bookkeeping, accounting, production control and clerical tasks, and may include work in AR, AP, cash applications, billing and collections.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor the entire AP process, including invoice processing, issue resolution and supplier queries
• Act as first point of contact and support in escalations
• Manage the AP bridgehead function with the company, liaising with internal staff and external suppliers
• Support month-end and year-end closing with AP activities on time
• Deliver ad hoc reporting on time and prepare AP reports
• Investigate, propose and implement AP process improvements
• Provide the information external suppliers need to carry out their part of the process

Required profile

• High school diploma (or equivalent)
• 1-2 years of relevant experience
• Fluent English
• Detail-oriented, good problem-solving and interpersonal skills

Required skills

• Basic accounting and bookkeeping knowledge
• Microsoft Office Suite or similar software

• Pay range of HUF 6,562,100 to HUF 9,843,200 per year, typically HUF 7,440,000 to HUF 8,400,000 for new hires
