Manufacturing Controllership Expert

About the role

Greif, a global leader in performance packaging, is looking for a Manufacturing Controllership Expert to help drive global compliance, strong financial controls and standardized manufacturing finance processes across the enterprise. The role suits someone with deep expertise in manufacturing controlling, cost accounting, inventory, compliance and financial reporting, who can lead projects, partner across functions and turn complex requirements into practical solutions. You will act as a trusted advisor to Finance and Operations, lead high-impact analyses and improvement initiatives, and strengthen the global control environment through standardization, automation and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Own quarterly and year-end compliance activities, including SOX controls tied to manufacturing controllership
• Review and resolve complex control, reporting and compliance issues across regions, support auditors and drive remediation and control enhancements
• Lead work on standard costing, inventory accounting, inventory count procedures and manufacturing reporting
• Partner with Finance, Operations and IT to improve processes and support restructuring, footprint optimization, integrations and divestitures
• Serve as a go-to expert, coach analysts and senior analysts and support training and knowledge sharing
• Drive global standardization of controllership processes, identify automation opportunities and implement scalable improvements

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field
• MBA or CPA (or local equivalent) preferred
• Extensive experience in finance and/or reporting roles
• Strong background in manufacturing controlling, inventory accounting, standard costing and compliance reporting
• Ability to deliver results under tight deadlines and to influence without direct authority
• Experience driving process improvement, automation and standardization

Required skills

• Solid knowledge of internal controls, SOX and financial reporting
• Analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

What we offer

• Pay range of HUF 14,254,900 to HUF 24,233,300 per year, typically HUF 16,800,000 to HUF 22,800,000 for new hires, with possible short-term incentives
